LEGO Robotics Course
Our English Plus LEGO Robotics course is suitable for all students aged between 6 and 12 that have a basic understanding of using a computer, for example using a mouse and a keyboard.
During the course, our students will learn how to build and programme a basic robot to complete several tasks set by our Xplore instructors. The course lasts for one week out of the 2-weeks at camp and will take place during 5 sessions in either the morning or afternoon for at least 3 hours. Levels: First Step – B1 on CEFR Pathway Table
Our English lessons at Camp Brandeston focus on games, images and music with lots of repetition to encourage retention and pronunciation. We find that this helps to improve our young students confidence when communicating with our staff and other children on-site.
First Step, Preliminary (A1), Elementary (A2) and Intermediate (B1) are all available at Brandeston and qualified teachers will help you improve on the basics of the language including simple phrases, spelling and sentence building.
During the 2-week programme, our staff will take all our campers on 3 organised day trip excursions.
From city day trips to London or Cambridge, to taking part in the ultimate tree house adventure at BeWilderwood or going to amazing local Safari Park – Africa Alive, these fully supervised trips are the perfect way to spend the day off-campus with new friends.
(3 excursions during 2-week programme – Wednesday, Saturday, Wednesday)
Care & Supervision
The site at Camp Brandeston is perfectly enclosed and surrounded by English countryside so our young campers will feel right at home with everything they need on site.
We know that staying away from home can sometimes be a bit daunting, so our caring staff are really great at knowing how to deal with homesickness and will keep parents updated on how everyone is getting on.
Our camps are available to children from all over the world.
Integration and immersion is central to how we operate as an organisation, and by encouraging lots of social interaction between different cultures and creating a diverse international community at camp, it can really develop every child’s self-confidence in communicating with others.
