We will provide both transfers from and to London Heathrow International Airport (LHR) on both arrival and departure dates.
Unfortunately, flights outside of these times or to/from a different airport will incur an additional cost – please check with our bookings team first.
The boarding quarters contain practical bedrooms that sleep between 4 and 8 children per room.
We always have separate quarters for boys and girls and try where possible to put children of a similar age in a room together.
If you have any special requirements or would like to request to share with a friend, we will try to accommodate you, just let us know in advance.
All meals at Langley are served in the dining hall, supervised by our caring Camp Leaders.
You can expect three nutritional meals with both hot and cold options, which are specially catered with younger children in mind.
Levels: First Step – B1 on CEFR Pathway Table
We want to make sure that every element of coming to camp is fun, which is why we ensure that our lessons use an interactive teaching approach suitable to those with lower English ability.
Our English lessons at Camp Langley focus on games, images and music with lots of repetition to encourage retention and pronunciation. We find that this helps to improve our young students’ confidence when communicating with our staff and other children on-site.
First Step, Preliminary/Elementary (A1), Pre-Intermediate (A2) and Intermediate (B1) are all available at Langley and qualified teachers will help you improve on the basics of the language including simple phrases, spelling and sentence building in small class sizes of no more than 15 students.
We cannot guarantee we will have a member of staff who can speak a child’s native language and we want to avoid any children feeling isolated without means to communicate with our staff and other children at camp.
We recommend that children with no or very low English language come as part of a group with a group leader – please contact us for more information.
Part of the summer camp experience is getting to have lots of fun playing and laughing with new friends.
Our action packed multi-activity programme promises lots of challenging and exciting activities from quad biking to crate climbing, arts, crafts, sports and games.
All the activities help to support each child’s English language development through listening and communicating with others, as well as help build self-confidence.
During the 2-week programme, our staff will take all our campers on 3 organised day trip excursions.
From city day trips to London or Norwich, to taking part in the ultimate tree house adventure at BeWilderwood or going to amazing local Safari Park – Africa Alive, these fully supervised trips are the perfect way to spend the day off-campus with new friends.
(3 excursions during 2-week programme – Wednesday, Saturday, Wednesday)
Care and Supervision
The site at Camp Langley is perfectly enclosed and surrounded by English countryside so our young campers will feel right at home with everything they need on site.
We know that staying away from home can sometimes be a bit daunting, so our caring staff are really great at knowing how to deal with homesickness and will keep parents updated on how everyone is getting on.
Our camps are available to children from all over the world.
Integration and immersion is central to how we operate as an organisation, and by encouraging lots of social interaction between different cultures and creating a diverse international community at camp, it can really develop every child’s self-confidence in communicating with others.
