English is one of the most popular languages for the younger generation to learn. When booking a language course abroad, it is important to be able to see an improvement in your child’s language skills and confidence by the time they return home – the benefit of an Xplore language camp is that they will also have amazing memories of their summer abroad, making new friends for life and learning English at the same time.
Xplore offer a wide variety of camps internationally. In England, we have Camp Langley, Camp Pangbourne, Camp Finborough, Camp Worksop and Camp Framlingham. In Germany we have Camp Inzell and in the USA we have homestays and immersion camps in Ashville, Colorado, North Carolina and Washington. Depending on where you stay, you will learn either British English or American English.
The age range for our camps is vast. From the age of 6 all the way to 18, we have camps to suit a variety of children. We also offer English Plus programmes, where they can enjoy a hobby whilst they learn (such as horse riding, football or even robotics!). Our camps are available throughout spring and summer every year and are growing in popularity. Make sure to book in advance – you won’t want your kids to miss out!
Learning through Experience – We believe that through our unique approach of combining activities, sports, social immersion, culture and structured language lessons; we are providing the best language-learning environment by providing lots of opportunities to focus on the four key communication elements of listening, reading, speaking and writing that make learning another language possible.

Being outside is a brilliant way to get some fresh air, have lots of laughs and exercise the brain. Whether it is an adventure activity or taking part in one of our English Plus courses, each day, our students find they have plenty to talk about with their new friends!
Meeting and making new friends, not only teaches an appreciation of different cultures but also helps to develop a mutual respect and understanding for others. Being part of a diverse international community at camp, in mixed nationality sessions builds self-confidence in communicating in a foreign language and with others.
During each programme we discover local traditions and culture by visiting nearby cities and tourist attractions that offer brilliant sightseeing opportunities. As well as spending time making memories with new friends, these excursions aim to encourage the use of language with native speakers in the real world.
Spending time in the classroom allows us to underpin the academic learning of a language, however our classes are not like school lessons. Learning outcomes focus on pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure and through a range of group activities and self study every learning style is catered for.
Our mixed ability English classes are taught using Anglia Examination step-by-step programme. Anglia Examinations operate worldwide, are internationally recognised and comparable against other EFL examination bodies such as Cambridge, TOEFL and IELTS. Our time in the classroom is focused on developing and improving language skills through a range of projects, games and individual takes to cater for all learning styles.
